Koloa Kauai south shore

Koloa

Home to Kauai’s first sugar mill, Koloa has grown into a thriving town full of boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes which draws a large crowd during the off season and an even larger crowd during the busy season. With an elementary school nearby and its close-knit community feel, Koloa is a great neighborhood for families.

Kalaheo

What used to be a one-horse town is now a busy community with distinct mauka (mountain) and makai (ocean) subdivisions. The makai side has one of Kauai’s hidden gems, Kukuiolono public park and golf course, with sweeping ocean and valley views, a Japanese garden/Hawaiian rock garden, and the cheapest green fees on the island.

Poipu

Beaches, palm trees, golf courses, condos, vacation rentals, hikes, surfing - Poipu represents some of the best of life in Hawaii and the real estate market down here falls mostly into the luxury category as a result. Notable mention to Kukui’ula - a 1,010 acre development of gorgeous oceanfront property hat boasts an 18 hole golf course, $100 million clubhouse, world-class spa (just ask the locals - it really is world class!), community gardens, and some of the most expensive and beautiful homes on the island. A total of 1,500 single and multi-family units are planned and vacant lots are still being released by the developers.
